When a blank card beats a generated one
A generated card is faster whenever you already know the twenty-five things that go on it. Blank cards win in the opposite situation: when the squares come from the players themselves, or when you want one master copy to photocopy for a whole class.

Printing tips
Print at 100% scale with margins set to default so the grid stays square. Card stock holds up better if players will handle the cards repeatedly, and a sheet protector plus a dry-erase marker turns one printed card into a reusable board.
If you want the cards to look filled in but still handwritten, print one copy, write the squares yourself, then photocopy that master for the group. Everyone gets the same board, which suits review games where the goal is practice rather than a race.
