What You Need

One printed bingo card per player (every card in a pack is different).
A call sheet for the caller, listing everything that can be drawn.
Markers: pennies, buttons, dry beans, stickers, or a dauber/crayon.

The Basic Rules

The caller announces one number or word at a time and keeps track of what was called.
Players cover a square only if the called item appears on their card.
The center FREE space, if included, is covered from the start.
When a player completes the pattern, they call out and the caller verifies the card.

Winning Patterns

Line: any full row, column, or diagonal — the classic game.
Four corners: the four corner squares only.
Postage stamp: a 2×2 block in any corner.
Blackout: every square on the card. Great for a longer game.

Number Bingo

In classic 5×5 bingo the columns are labeled B-I-N-G-O and each one draws from its own range of numbers: B is 1–15, I is 16–30, N is 31–45, G is 46–60, and O is 61–75. The caller announces both the letter and the number, such as “B-7”, so players know which column to check.

Word Bingo in the Classroom

Word bingo works with any list you can think of: sight words, spelling words, vocabulary, math answers, states and capitals, holiday themes, or party icebreakers. Paste your list into the generator and every card gets a different random arrangement of your items.

For younger players, stick to a single line pattern so games finish quickly. For a longer session, play the same cards again with four corners, then finish with a blackout round.
