Free Fraction Bingo Cards

Fraction bingo helps students connect written fractions, visual models, and real-world language in one game. The default list includes common fractions, decimals, percents, and vocabulary words you can mix and match.

You call the concept, and students find the matching square. Because the cards are randomized, every student sees the same content in a different order, which keeps the game fair and engaging.

How to play fraction bingo

  • Print one card per student plus a call sheet for the caller.
  • Call a fraction, decimal, percent, or description such as one half or the shaded part is three fourths.
  • Students find the matching representation on their card and cover it.
  • The first student to complete a row, column, or diagonal calls bingo.
  • Ask the winner to explain each match to reinforce understanding.

Building a focused list

For beginners, keep the list to halves, thirds, and fourths in both number form and word form. For older students, add equivalent fractions, decimals, and percents so players must convert between representations.

Include at least 24 entries for a 5x5 card with a free space. Add a few vocabulary words like numerator and denominator if you want students to review terminology too.

Classroom and homeschool ideas

Use fraction bingo after a lesson on equivalent fractions to see if students can recognize matches across different forms. Or play it as a center activity while you work with a small group on fraction word problems.

For a hands-on twist, have students build the fraction with fraction tiles or draw the model on a whiteboard before covering the square. That extra step deepens understanding beyond simple matching.
